John de Mowbray, 1st Earl of Nottingham (1365-1379) was the son of John de Mowbray, 4th Baron Mowbray.
Mowbray was created Earl of Nottingham by Richard II. The earl died unmarried, his earldom dying with him.
He was succeeded as Baron Mowbray by his younger brother Thomas.
